Sanford L (Sandy) Steinman, President and Managing Director

 

Sandy received his undergraduate degree in business from the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida.  Some years later he completed his MBA work at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas.

 

Sandy began his business career with a Certified Public Accounting firm that ultimately was merged into KPMG.  He then began a career holding executive level positions with Zale Corporation in Dallas, TX. Federated Department Stores in Albuquerque, NM and Dallas, TX and Woodward & Lothrop Department Stores in Washington, D.C. and Margie’s Dress Shops in Dallas, TX.

In 1976 he joined Bonanza International, an operator and franchisor of steak houses as part of a successful turnaround venture.  He ultimately became Vice President of Finance and Administration for the Company.

 

He spent four years as Vice President Finance for Greater Houston Transportation Company, one of the largest operators of Yellow Cabs, limousines and Medical transport vehicles.

 

He owned and operated a large transportation company and was a partner in a food importer in the North Florida area.

 

He joined Comprehensive Accounting Corporation, a troubled franchisor of accounting services as Executive VP and successfully performed the task of moving the company from substantial losses to acceptable profit levels and ultimately sold the company to a large national franchisor.

 

He spent several years as Senior Consultant for a large national consulting company specializing in small and medium sized troubled businesses and ultimately founded and became President of Profitability Partners, Inc. a Florida based consulting company specializing in the turnaround of small and medium sized businesses.

Sandy has recently completed his first book titled “The Small Business Turnaround Guide: Take Your Business From Troubled to Triumphant”.  A publisher has yet to be selected.  The Seymour Agency represents Sandy in this endeavor.
